Oil Hit $100 per barrel
Well it finally happen. On the January 2, 2008 the price of a barrel of Oil reached a new record high of $100. According to market analysts, the reason for this is current instabilities in Negeria, Algeria and Pakistan.
This is not very good news for Jamaica, because the countries oil bill continues to grow. It is time that the Ministry of Energy step up its Conservation Education program. Home user will have to watch their electricity consumption as the Oil component is a large part of that bill.
As usual we will be watching the Gas Prices and hopefully we will be able to keep this site up and running on a regular basis during 2008.
